Atos secured a six-year application management contract with the Metropolitan Police Service, with an option to extend for two additional years. The agreement covers services intended to support day-to-day application operations for policing technology under MPS control.
The contract covers core services delivered over the initial term, and the MPS can add further services at the Authority’s discretion. It also provides an option to expand the scope to include managed cloud and digital workplace services.
Under the deal, Atos will provide service management and application management services, along with application security services. Atos will maintain key business applications across the MPS technology estate and deliver services in line with ITIL best practices, with service continuity management positioned as part of the delivery model.
Jamie Hewitt, director of Digital Product Delivery, Metropolitan Police Service, said: “Our collaboration with Atos will provide a stable digital foundation for our officers and staff, supporting the ongoing modernisation and simplification of our application landscape and driving greater efficiency and effectiveness across the technology that underpins frontline policing.” Michael Herron, head of Atos UK&I, said: “We are proud to expand our partnership with the Metropolitan Police Service, helping to support the critical digital infrastructure that underpins policing across London. This award reflects the expertise, resilience and dedication of our teams, as well as the trust we have built over many years of working together. We look forward to continuing to deliver secure, reliable and scalable services that support both frontline policing and the communities the MPS serves.”
