Atos awarded £150 million contract by DEFRA for end user services
Atos has been selected by the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to provide end user services through a five-year contract valued at £150 million. This agreement focuses on transforming DEFRA's service desk and enhancing efficiency for 34,000 users across the UK.
The initiative will utilize modern technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation, to improve service quality. Additionally, Atos aims to deliver an environmentally friendly solution by refurbishing and donating disused hardware and minimizing packaging and deliveries.
Michael Herron, Head of UK&I at Atos Group, stated, “We are delighted to be working with DEFRA on their end user services enabling their team to concentrate on the important work they deliver.” His remarks highlight Atos’ commitment to supporting DEFRA’s mission while ensuring productivity.
Atos' service solution will also feature a sustainable digital workplace suite, incorporating over 20 services that align with social value and accessibility standards. This project marks another step in Atos' role as a provider of digital workplace solutions, which has been recognized by Gartner for its leadership in outsourced digital workplace services for eight consecutive years.
