ASUS ExpertBook Ultra (B9406CAA) Becomes Available in the US
ASUS made the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra (B9406CAA) available for purchase in the United States. The company positioned the ultralight 14-inch notebook around AI-enabled performance and enterprise security as it targets professionals who work with mobile, high-performance workflows.
According to the announcement, the configuration on sale includes the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 platform and an ExpertCool Pro thermal solution rated for up to 50W TDP. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and uses a 70Wh battery, along with input and display hardware intended for day-to-day productivity.
The ExpertBook Ultra is built with an all-metal chassis and Nano Ceramic Technology, and it is described as weighing 2.43 lbs with dimensions of 12.24 x 8.38 x 0.63 inches. It includes two full-function Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, HDMI 2.1 TMDS, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. The display is a 14.0-inch 16:10 Tandem OLED panel with up to 1400 nits peak HDR brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with Corning Gorilla Matte; audio is handled by a six-speaker setup with Dolby technology.
ASUS said the model integrates the ASUS MyExpert AI productivity suite for natural-language interaction and capabilities such as document summarization, translation, and writing refinement, along with meeting intelligence that generates transcripts, translations, meeting summaries, and follow-up to-do lists. For security, ASUS ExpertGuardian is described as aligned with NIST SP 800-193 guidance and includes firmware protections intended to prevent unauthorized changes, detect malicious activity, and recover to trusted firmware states, plus post-quantum cryptography using ML-KEM (FIPS 203) and ML-DSA (FIPS 204). In a quote, Shawn Chang, General Manager, System Business Group, ASUS North America, said, “The device delivers mobility, intelligence, and reliability for modern, high-performance workflows.” The price for ASUS ExpertBook Ultra (B9406CAA-XSP76T) featuring the Intel Core Ultra X7 Series 3 processor was listed at $3599.99, with Jet Fog and Morn Grey availability timing described as end of Q2 and additional X9 Series 3 configurations in Q3, 2026.
