IBM launches Enterprise Advantage service

IBM introduced IBM Enterprise Advantage, an asset-based consulting service intended to help clients quickly build, govern and operate tailored internal Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms at scale.

The offering combined IBM consulting expertise with technology drawn from IBM Consulting Advantage, the company’s internal AI-powered delivery platform, and referenced a growing marketplace of industry-specific AI agents and applications that had supported more than 150 client engagements and was shown to boost consultants' productivity by up to 50%.

The service provided a secured platform, shared standards and reusable AI assets, and it allowed organizations to redesign workflows, connect AI to existing systems and scale agentic applications without requiring changes to cloud providers, AI models or core infrastructure. It supported integration with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM watsonx and both open- and closed-source models.

Pearson is using the service to build a custom AI-powered platform that combined human expertise with agentic assistants to manage everyday work and decisions. A manufacturer used Enterprise Advantage to implement its Generative AI (GenAI) strategy by identifying high-value use cases, testing targeted prototypes and aligning leaders around a scalable, platform-first approach, and the client was deploying AI assistants using multiple technologies in a secured, governed environment.
