AMD divests ZT Systems data center business to Sanmina

Automated Model Deployment (AMD) announced the completion of its agreement to divest the ZT Systems U.S.-headquartered data center infrastructure manufacturing business to Sanmina. This transaction allows AMD to retain ZT Systems’ design and customer enablement teams, focusing on enhancing the quality and efficiency of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems deployed for cloud customers.

As part of the partnership, Sanmina becomes a preferred new product introduction manufacturing partner for AMD's cloud rack and cluster-scale AI solutions. This collaboration is intended to enhance AMD's ecosystem of original design manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers.

Forrest Norrod, AMD's executive vice president and general manager of the Data Center Solutions business unit, noted that this partnership merges U.S.-based manufacturing strength with AMD’s design and enablement expertise. This integration aims to deliver quality, speed, and flexibility to AMD's cloud and AI customers.
