Acronis partners with OpSys to provide managed detection and response services in Australia
Acronis has established a partnership with Operational Systems (OpSys), identifying OpSys as the initial certified Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) in Australia to offer Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services to managed service providers (MSPs) and their clients.
This collaboration involves providing a cybersecurity platform that supports Managed Services Provider (MSP) growth and resilience, with an emphasis on data sovereignty by ensuring that all data processing and storage occur within Australian borders. It is designed to meet local requirements and security concerns by enabling MSPs to deliver enterprise-level MDR services.
OpSys operates a Security Operations (SecOps) Center (SOC) capable of handling intricate security incidents and complex cyber threats. The services offered include AI-driven cybersecurity tools such as Endpoint Detection And Response (EDR), Extended detection and response (XDR), Disaster Recovery (DR), and runtime memory management, accessible through a unified platform.
The partnership forms part of the Acronis MSSP Program, which provides MSSPs and MSPs entering security services with platform access, operational flexibility, and support resources. The program allows partners to control pricing, branding, and the delivery of MDR services while offering market visibility and operational efficiencies.
Matthew Fabri, Managing Director of OpSys, said, “We are proud to be Acronis' first MSSP partner in Australia and excited to bring Managed Detection and Response services to MSPs across the country. Powered by Acronis' AI-driven cybersecurity platform, OpSys MDR delivers 24/7 coverage, direct access to our Australia-based team, and predictable pricing. Unlike traditional monitoring solutions, we provide active response, not just detection, neutralising sophisticated threats in minutes. This partnership gives Australian MSPs a reliable way to offer their clients comprehensive cyber defence with full data sovereignty.” Pasha Ershow, Senior Vice President for APJ & Middle East at Acronis, said, “We are very pleased to welcome OpSys as the first certified MSSP partner in Australia. Thanks to integration with our platform, OpSys will be able to support Acronis in providing high-end MDR services to more than 700 Acronis partners in the region. MDR is no longer optional—it’s the frontline defense for maintaining business continuity and resilience in the face of increasingly sophisticated attacks—and is key focus for us.”
Future plans include broadening the reach of MDR services within the region and expanding support for MSPs through the Acronis platform and partner network.
