Zscaler and Schwarz Digits partner for sovereign Zero Trust SASE service

Zscaler and Schwarz Digits outlined a strategic partnership to provide a sovereign Zero Trust Secure Access Service Edge offering for customers across Europe. The update centers on combining Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange platform with Schwarz Digits’ cloud infrastructure on STACKIT to support data sovereignty and cybersecurity requirements.

The offering is intended to address demand for sovereign technology alongside regulatory requirements referenced in the announcement, including NIS2, DORA, and the AI Act. The companies said the approach targets the deployment of the security platform in German data centers operated by STACKIT, with data staying in the EU and aligned with European legal requirements.

Functionally, the partnership links the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange platform with the sovereign cloud environment provided through STACKIT. The joint offering covers deployment, management, operation, and support of the cybersecurity cloud platform, and is described as a Zero Trust SASE service designed to prevent AI-driven threats while providing secure access for a hybrid workforce.

Schwarz Digits and Zscaler said the service operates with Zscaler hosted in Schwarz Digits’ data centers, where it is intended to include EU data residency and support identity verification.
