Zephyr said it introduced a new software experience for the Zephyr HyperCore™ Induction Cooktop. The change focuses on how the cooktop’s software presents information and how it receives updates after installation.
The company said HyperCore supports Wi-Fi-enabled over-the-air software updates when the cooktop is connected to Wi-Fi, allowing it to receive new features after installation. Zephyr also described the update as building on existing control and sensing capabilities tied to its HyperCore cooktop.
Zephyr’s update added a redesigned software experience that includes individual timers for each heating element and an improved system information bar. The interface can show elapsed time after a timer completes until the timer is dismissed, and Zephyr said the system information area provides clearer access to appliance-wide details such as battery status, Wi-Fi connectivity, notifications, and software updates.
Zephyr said element-specific information was reorganized to show details including active power, temperature, timer status, and notifications without distracting from cooking. Luke Siow, Zephyr President, said, “HyperCore was designed with innovation beyond installation in mind,” and added, “Its ability to receive over-the-air software updates means we can introduce new functionality and enhancements that help customers stay current with the latest HyperCore technology. This release is a great example of that capability in action.” Zephyr said the HyperCore collection is available in 30- and 36-inch sizes, and it described the cooktop as using four heating elements with in-pan temperature sensing and ExactTemp™ technology.
