World Wide Technology launches AI coding assistant to enhance enterprise productivity

World Wide Technology has introduced a software coding assistant designed to enhance productivity for software developers. This solution was developed in collaboration with NVIDIA, Cisco, and Codeium, and aims to facilitate the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in coding practices within enterprise environments. The new coding assistant, alongside other AI solutions revealed at the NVIDIA GTC event, is part of WWT’s AI Proving Ground lab initiative. This initiative combines NVIDIA's AI software with WWT's consulting expertise to improve efficiency in software development. In addition to the coding assistant, WWT showcases an AI chatbot, an AI network assistant, and a digital human application at the event, each intended to streamline processes for enterprises. Mike Taylor, Chief Technology Officer at WWT, commented on the launch, emphasizing the collaboration’s goal to create scalable solutions that yield business results for clients. The partnership with NVIDIA and other collaborators allows for enhanced AI capabilities focused on improving workflow and productivity. According to Gartner, the adoption of AI code assistants among enterprise software engineers is projected to increase from less than 10% in early 2023 to 75% by 2028. In response to this trend, WWT has developed a coding assistant that integrates advanced AI features and security measures, ready for enterprise implementation. Through internal testing, WWT reported productivity improvements between 30% to 50% for repetitive coding tasks when utilizing the previous generation of its solutions coupled with NVIDIA infrastructure. The company aims to offer these enhancements globally, providing scalable options for organizations. Further products showcased at the GTC event include AI-powered automation tools aimed at improving project management and customer engagement processes. WWT’s developments aim to integrate AI technologies into various sectors, supporting operational effectiveness and efficiency.
