Vertiv Acquires BMarko Structures for Structural Fabrication Capacity
Vertiv said it acquired BMarko Structures LLC to bring a custom-engineered structural fabrication capability in-house. The company linked the move to managing structural fabrication work that supports manufactured, prefabricated, and converged infrastructure deliveries.
Vertiv described increasing pressure on the infrastructure layer as Artificial Intelligence (AI) data center deployments accelerate, with demand for faster delivery and scale. The company said the acquisition was expected to strengthen supply capability and expand engineering and manufacturing capacity within its Infrastructure Solutions business in North America.
The acquisition relates to BMarko’s custom-engineered structural fabrication work, including steel and wood frames. Vertiv said BMarko expanded its engineering and fabrication facility to approximately 560,000 square feet and that the facility was located near Vertiv’s Infrastructure Solutions manufacturing operations in the region.
Vertiv said BMarko was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Williamston, South Carolina. The company stated the acquisition was expected to improve material and process control and enhance execution, customization, and delivery of manufactured, prefabricated, and converged infrastructure. “AI is reshaping infrastructure requirements, with customers placing greater demands on time-to-capacity, flexibility, and efficiency across the infrastructure layer,” said Gio Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv. “This acquisition strengthens Vertiv's ability to help customers move faster, with better systems-level performance and control, as infrastructure demands continue to grow in complexity.”
