Versa achieves ISO/IEC 27001 recertification with enhanced cloud security standards.

Versa announced the achievement of ISO/IEC 27001 recertification, which now includes extended cloud-specific security and privacy controls aligned with ISO/IEC 27017 and ISO/IEC 27018. Additionally, the company secured renewed certifications for System-on-a-chip (SoC) 2 and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards after undergoing extensive independent audits. These certifications demonstrate Versa's commitment to enhancing the security and privacy of customer data according to international standards.

Meeting the requirements of ISO/IEC 27017 and 27018 reflects advancements in Versa’s information security management systems. This commitment ensures that Versa provides secure cloud solutions that comply with globally recognized standards. ISO/IEC 27017 offers guidelines for implementing information security controls in cloud environments, while ISO/IEC 27018 prioritizes the protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in public cloud services.

The System and Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) Type 2 re-certification indicates a thorough audit by a third-party firm assessing the internal controls concerning security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. The renewed HIPAA compliance confirms that Versa has instituted necessary protections to safeguard individuals' protected health information (PHI), fulfilling essential requirements in the healthcare sector.
