Varonis announces partnership with Pure Storage

Data security and storage leaders join forces to protect data and prevent breaches in today’s top storage platform

Varonis Systems, Inc. has formed a partnership with Pure Storage, focusing on enhancing data security and cyber resilience. This collaboration marks Varonis as the first data security company to integrate natively with Pure Storage, allowing customers to secure sensitive data actively, detect threats, and comply with privacy regulations.

Pure Storage contributes to medical resilience with immutable snapshots that facilitate quick recovery following cyber incidents. The partnership aims to provide a robust solution to help prevent data breaches and ensure swift recovery from disasters.

Through this partnership, Varonis’ platform enables Pure Storage customers to:

• Discover and classify sensitive data. Varonis conducts real-time scans of data within Pure Storage systems, matching classification results with user identities, permissions, and activities to identify and remediate at-risk data.
• Reduce data exposure. The system maps complex permissions and right-sizes access by automatically removing excessive permissions, thus limiting over-privileged access.
• Detect and stop threats. Varonis leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to analyze user behavior, enabling the detection of threats, suspicious activities, and potential insider threats. Customers can extend their teams with a 24/7 incident response service through Varonis Managed Data Detection and Response.
