Valeo and Google Cloud expand partnership with Gemini for Workspace and Gemini Enterprise

Valeo and Google Cloud extended their long-standing partnership to deploy Gemini for Workspace across Valeo’s workforce and to expand use of agentic AI through Gemini Enterprise. The effort centers on generative AI applications intended to support productivity and work done in R&D.

Valeo said it began exploring AI agents 18 months earlier and then shifted toward using Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. The companies also cited a 2023 internal Valeo hackathon supported by Google Cloud and Artefact that focused on generative AI use cases spanning engineering, project management, knowledge management, and industrial maintenance.

On the employee side, Valeo selected Gemini as its LLM of choice and deployed Gemini for Workspace to all 100,000 employees worldwide. The release tied the broader rollout to Valeo’s earlier integration of Gemini Code Assist, stating that more than 35% of Valeo’s code was generated by AI, and it listed applications including automating routine tasks, streamlining document synthesis, and generating content and visual aids.

For agentic workflows, Valeo described early agents that included a Software Testing Assistant that creates test cases from software design, a Software Development Life Cycle Assistant that reviews and proposes fixes in continuous integration, a System Requirements Assistant that supports writing and tailoring system requirements, and a Product Validation Assistant that assists with writing product design validation test cases. The company said it prioritized keeping a human in the loop and launched a comprehensive skills development program for staff.

“Our partnership with Google Cloud has been a driver of our digital transformation since 2008. By putting Gemini for Workspace into the hands of every Valeo employee, we are not just upgrading our tools; we are embedding a culture of innovation. The move toward Agentic AI with Gemini Enterprise represents the next chapter, allowing our engineers to focus on high-value breakthroughs while AI agents handle complex operational cycles.” said Christophe Perillat, CEO of Valeo. “Valeo is a prime example of how a global leader can harness the power of generative AI to transform every facet of its business. From accelerating software development with agents to empowering their workers with Gemini for Workspace, Valeo is setting a new standard for the automotive industry. We are thrilled to deepen our collaboration as they pioneer the use of agentic AI to redefine the future of mobility.” said Anthony Cirot, vice president EMEA South at Google Cloud.
