Trustero said it launched Trustero Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), extending its AI governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platform to third-party vendor assessments. The change is aimed at shifting vendor risk reviews toward a team decision process rather than document collection and reading.

In Trustero’s description, vendor risk management previously involved tracking attestations and owners, and reviewing security questionnaires and reports across spreadsheets or disconnected systems. TPRM places vendor risk determination inside the same platform used for the customer’s existing compliance program.

Trustero said TPRM uses customers’ risk tier definitions to set the depth of each assessment. For higher-risk vendors, it references ISO 27001 certifications, proof of insurance, funding status, and answers to cloud-specific questions. It also performs an AI first-pass evaluation by checking attestations and security questionnaires against customer risk policies.

Trustero said an agentic orchestrator tracked changes and advanced each assessment, converting items that required a person or an outside system—such as a vendor trust portal, a third-party risk score, or a finance or legal sign-off—into tracked requests with an owner and an escalation path. “Most vendor risk tools hand a team a score or a stack of documents and call it done,” said David Marsyla, VP of Engineering at Trustero. “We wanted TPRM to work the way the rest of Trustero does: the AI does the reading and the first-pass judgment, and the team’s time goes to the approval decision, not the analysis.”
