Trax launches On-Device Image Recognition for CPG brands
Trax launched its On-Device Image Recognition (IR) technology, aimed at enhancing shelf insights for consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. This Augmented Reality (AR) solution allows brands to access real-time shelf conditions and take immediate corrective actions offline, without reliance on Internet connectivity.
David Gottlieb, Chief Revenue Officer of Trax, stated, “Our vision is to give CPGs immediate, actionable insights into shelf conditions, so they can respond to what's happening in stores the moment it matters most.” The use of On-Device Intermediate Representation (IR) has reportedly resulted in faster decision-making capabilities for users, as seen in recent implementations.
Built on Trax's advanced technology, the On-Device IR offers high-accuracy product identification through video streams and depth sensors, effectively tracking product location in 3D space. This solution centralizes data collection and reporting, providing users with actionable insights through a user-friendly dashboard, thereby contributing to more efficient retail execution.
CPG brands and retailers can currently integrate On-Device IR as an enhancement to existing projects or utilize it as a standalone (SA) solution. The technology is already in use by leading global brands, supporting their efforts to optimize in-store performance and manage inventory through precise data-driven insights.
