Trax introduces On-Device Image Recognition technology for CPG brands
Trax has introduced its On-Device Image Recognition technology, designed to improve shelf insights for consumer packaged goods brands. This solution leverages Augmented Reality (AR) to deliver real-time shelf condition data, allowing brands to act swiftly without relying on Internet connectivity.
David Gottlieb, Chief Revenue Officer of Trax, noted the company’s intention to provide consumer packaged goods companies with actionable shelf insights for timely responses. Early implementations of this technology have shown enhanced decision-making capabilities for users.
The On-Device Image Recognition system utilizes advanced product identification methods through video and depth sensors, accurately tracking products in a three-dimensional environment. It centralizes data collection and reporting, offering insights via a user-friendly dashboard to facilitate effective retail execution.
This technology can be integrated into current projects by consumer packaged goods brands and retailers or operated as a Standalone (SA) solution. It is already being utilized by major brands to enhance in-store performance and inventory management through accurate, data-driven insights.
