Synopsys Achieves PCIe 6.x Interoperability Milestone with Broadcom's PEX90000 Series Switch at PCI-SIG DevCon 2025
Synopsys, Inc. announced the successful interoperability between its PCI Express (PCIe) 6.x IP solution and Broadcom's PEX90000 switch, a key advancement for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High performance computing (HPC) solutions. This milestone aims to reduce design risks and expedite deployment in modern AI data center systems.
The collaboration demonstrated a Synopsys PCIe 6.x solution operating at 64 GT/s as a root complex and endpoint with the Broadcom switch. Attendees will see this demonstration at the PCI-SIG DevCon 2025, showcasing the compatibility and readiness of these technologies for current AI demands.
Neeraj Paliwal, senior vice president of IP product management at Synopsys, emphasized their commitment to delivering reliable IP solutions. Dan Roehrich, vice president at Broadcom, noted that this interoperability milestone addresses the growing needs in AI and HPC by enabling extensive integration of the PCIe 6.x standard across the industry.
With over 100 PCIe 6.x IP implementations, Synopsys continues to support the sector's transition with proven solutions that include PHYs, controllers, and security IP, aiming to enhance design efficiency and market readiness.
