STL partners with Netomnia to advance full-fibre rollout in the UK
Software Testing Lifecycle (STL) and Netomnia announced a renewed collaboration to advance Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) solutions aimed at enhancing the rollout of full-fibre networks across the UK. This partnership focuses on deploying high-performance optical connectivity to serve a growing customer base.
Netomnia, the UK's second-largest alternative network provider, is implementing a native 10 Gbps XGS-PON full-fibre network. The company reports servicing approximately 2.8 million premises and aims to reach three million by the end of 2025, targeting five million by 2027. This expansion is bolstered by its annual construction rate of one million premises.
Under the multi-year partnership, STL will provide all-encompassing FTTH connectivity solutions that incorporate advanced optical fibre cables. These solutions are designed to lower the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by approximately 20%, improving duct utilization while minimizing resource consumption. The collaboration is intended to speed up deployment timelines and enhance overall network performance.
Jeremy Chelot, Group CEO of Netomnia, emphasized the importance of collaboration with partners like STL to achieve rapid network deployment. Rahul Puri, CEO of Optical Networking Business at STL, noted the shared vision and commitment to co-creation in addressing future connectivity needs.
