Solo.io said it released agentdesktop, an open source project focused on governance for agentic AI tools running on end user machines. The release centers on applying policy, identity controls, and monitoring beyond existing infrastructure controls.
The company described a “production gap” between governance used in infrastructure and what is required to deploy agentic AI to production, noting that the desktop was added as a new frontier. The company attributed additional components to its agentic stack, including agent, agentgateway, agentregistry, and agentevals, and it cited the project as open source under the Apache 2.0 license.
