Solo.io Launches Agent Gateway for AI Agent Connectivity

Industry's first complete connectivity solution for Artificial Intelligence (AI) agent ecosystems supports both agent-to-agent and agent-to-tool communication across any environment.

Solo.Inference Orchestrator (IO) announced Agent Gateway, an open source data plane optimized for AI connectivity. This solution facilitates agent-to-agent and agent-to-tool communication while providing integrated security, observability, and governance. It supports interoperable protocols such as Agent2Agent (A2A) and Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Organizations developing AI agents often face challenges posed by varied protocols across different teams and environments. Agent Gateway unifies agent connectivity, offering seamless integration with existing Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs and compatibility with multiple AI frameworks, including LangGraph and Claude Desktop. This enhances deployment flexibility across various infrastructures, including Kubernetes.

Idit Levine, founder and CEO of Solo.IO, stated, “Agentic AI is transforming how organizations build and deliver applications, but long-term success requires infrastructure that transcends today's rapidly changing landscape.” She emphasized the importance of using standard protocols to ensure interoperability across AI applications. Agent Gateway's structure supports comprehensive security and monitoring features essential for managing AI Operations (AIOps).

The system incorporates a developer portal for easy configuration and oversight of agent interaction, along with features such as telemetry reporting and multi-tenant accessibility. This supports a clearer operational framework as AI adoption grows.

Solo.IO aims to provide organizations with the necessary tools to ensure their AI applications are future-proofed through Agent Gateway.
