Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming digital communication, with Sinch predicting substantial changes by 2026. The company foresees a fivefold increase in customer interactions as AI agents, voice technology, and conversational messaging merge, enabling brands to engage with consumers on a broader scale.
According to Sinch, the convergence of conversational messaging and Generative AI (GenAI) is set to increase communication volume significantly. Businesses are expected to redesign their communication frameworks to accommodate new engagement models. Daniel Morris, Chief Product Officer at Sinch, emphasized that their insights stem from managing over 900 billion interactions annually, showcasing the data-driven shifts occurring in communication.
Sinch's top predictions include the rise of AI agents, leading to an explosion in conversation opportunity, and the evolution of AI from cost-saving tools to growth engines that provide insights and revenue. Voice AI technology is also anticipated to become the preferred medium for complex conversations, delivering faster and more human-like interactions. Additionally, connected customer journeys that facilitate seamless transitions across devices are expected to foster loyalty.
