Service IT Direct and Carahsoft Set Up Third-Party Maintenance Partnership

Service IT Direct and Carahsoft Technology Corp. described a partnership that makes Service IT Direct third-party maintenance and lifecycle support offerings available to U.S. public sector buyers through Carahsoft’s government contracting channels. The companies tied the effort to support for legacy servers, storage, and networking equipment.

The agreement gives Carahsoft a role as Service IT Direct’s Master Government Aggregator and routes the offerings through Carahsoft reseller partners. Service IT Direct said its services support end-to-end third-party maintenance and lifecycle support intended to help agencies manage existing IT investments and infrastructure maintenance costs.

Service IT Direct said its coverage includes legacy servers, storage, networking, and data center equipment, along with 24/7 monitoring and nationwide service coverage. The companies also stated that Service IT Direct’s solutions are vendor-neutral end of service life support for major OEM hardware and software, positioned as an alternative to upgrades.

Carahsoft will provide access through SEWP V contracts NNG15SC03B and NNG15SC27B and NASPO ValuePoint Master Agreement #AR2472, according to the release.
