Salesforce and Google Cloud Expand Partnership for Agentic Workflows

Salesforce and Google Cloud expanded their partnership to support AI agents that can carry out end-to-end workflows across both platforms. The change focuses on enabling work across systems while addressing issues tied to fragmented data and disconnected systems.

The companies said new integrations across Salesforce and Google Cloud allow deployment of AI agents in tools such as Slack and Google Workspace. The release also links the effort to Agentforce and Gemini Enterprise as the elements providing the intelligence and context used behind the scenes.

The expanded partnership described work to connect systems “across every layer of the Agentic Enterprise,” covering context, work, agency, and engagement. It also outlined security and data-handling goals, including reducing “risky data movement” and emphasizing “zero-copy” data access with Google Lakehouse. The release further cited Gemini-powered reasoning for Agentforce via the Atlas Reasoning Engine, plus connectors and governance referenced through Informatica data security policies and support for Apache Iceberg on Google Cloud Storage.

For product and integration scope, the companies listed capabilities including Slack and Google Workspace integrations where Slackbot pulls inputs from Slack Threads, Google Slides, Docs, Sheets, or PDFs and delivers ready-to-share files. It also described Gemini Enterprise in Slack and “Agentforce Sales in Gemini Enterprise” with pipeline and CRM updates, plus availability timing for multiple items across April 2026 through Late 2026. Srini Tallapragada, President and Chief Engineering Officer at Salesforce, said, “Businesses are ready to go all in on agentic AI, and that requires infrastructure and models that can operate across the entire enterprise. Our deepened partnership with Google Cloud gives joint customers exactly that, so they can deploy Agentforce across every part of their business and accelerate their Agentic Enterprise transformation,” said Srini Tallapragada. Fiona Tan, CTO of Wayfair, said, “At Wayfair, we're building an Agentic Enterprise — embedding intelligent agents across our operations, from customer service to logistics, to help millions of people create their feeling of home. Salesforce and Google Cloud are key partners as we bring this vision to life,” said Fiona Tan. Karthik Narain, Chief Product and Business Officer, Google Cloud, said, “Our partnership with Salesforce allows customers to securely connect data across both platforms to accelerate business results and build a scalable foundation for the agentic era. With an enterprise-ready Salesforce agent in Gemini Enterprise, customers have a powerful new way to act on their data with speed and confidence,” said Karthik Narain. The companies also stated that product availability timelines are subject to change and may depend on third-party factors outside of Salesforce’s control.
