Eviden launches Key Management System integration with Salesforce on Hyperforce and Shield

Eviden, the Atos Group product brand, reported the availability of a Key Management System integration with Salesforce on Hyperforce and Shield: Platform Encryption. The company said the approach supports external encryption keys hosted in Europe while keeping control of those keys with the customer. The integration also references a shared responsibility model tied to Hyperforce.

Eviden and Salesforce positioned the integration around encrypting data used with Salesforce cloud and AI solutions through a “bring your own sovereign encryption” (BYOSE) model. The release said customers manage the full key lifecycle, from generation to eventual revocation, and that data separation exists between application data and Eviden’s cryptographic keys.

Eviden said its KMS integration relies on two technical pillars: Confidential VMs and a certified HSM. The integration places Eviden KMS on Confidential Virtual Machines to isolate cryptographic operations in memory. It also said the solution interfaces directly with Eviden Proteccio HSM, described as the only hardware security module to have received ANSSI’s highest qualification level.
