Relativity said it changed the platform name from RelativityOne to Relativity aiR and consolidated the platform and its AI capabilities under one branding. The company framed the move as aligning its platform identity with how AI is used in legal data intelligence workflows.
Relativity reported that Relativity aiR produced more than 620 million high-value legal results in 2026, as of Sept. 9. It also stated that questions beyond keyword or metadata search that require an agent to read across records and reason about them grew 44% month over month. It added that 57% of new workspaces created in Relativity aiR this year involved matters beyond litigation.
Relativity aiR includes the company’s agentic AI capabilities, which were previously positioned as a suite integrated into the extensible cloud platform RelativityOne. The company said its AI capabilities are included in the platform’s current pricing, with access to agentic tools as part of the platform. Relativity also described intelligence that begins when data arrives, including document insights and matter scoping.
Relativity said it expanded Relativity aiR to support a broader group of users, including lawyers and the legal data and technology teams working alongside them, and it highlighted Advanced Access in which Relativity claiR provides conversational command of legal data. The company also cited acquisitions and integrations, including Gavel for bringing Relativity aiR into Microsoft Word and Model Context Protocol integrations that allow external enterprise AI agents to orchestrate matters and workflows within Relativity aiR. “We’ve been adapting and building AI into our platform for over a decade. This name confirms what our community already knows: AI is as transformative a shift as the cloud was years ago, and Relativity has the trusted platform and the experience to lead through it responsibly.” said Phil Saunders, CEO of Relativity.

Relativity described the shift from RelativityOne to Relativity aiR as a focus on embedded AI throughout the platform and the use of AI agents to support work already performed and enable new kinds of work.
