Posit and Carahsoft Partner for Government Contract Distribution
Posit and Carahsoft Technology Corp. entered a partnership to make Posit’s data science platform available to Public Sector agencies through procurement contracts. The arrangement placed Carahsoft in charge of distributing the platform using existing contract vehicles.
Carahsoft will serve as Posit’s Master Government Aggregator, distributing Posit’s solutions through reseller partners. The distribution channels referenced in the agreement include NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V and OMNIA Partners contracts.
Posit’s platform is described as an enterprise data science environment for building, deploying, and scaling data analysis, models, and applications. The platform uses open source tools such as R and Python within a governed, secure environment and is intended to integrate with existing infrastructure while maintaining compliance and control over data and code.
“Partnering with Carahsoft enables us to expand and streamline access to Posit’s AI-powered data science platform across the Public Sector,” said Adam Smith, VP of Alliances at Posit. “Carahsoft brings a deep understanding of the Federal procurement landscape. This partnership allows us to meet agencies where they are, making it easier for them to adopt secure, scalable open source solutions while staying compliant with procurement requirements and accelerating their data-driven missions.” Carahsoft said Posit was added to its portfolio of enterprise open source software providers, and it cited SEWP V contract numbers NNG15SC03B and NNG15SC27B and OMNIA Partners Contract #R240303 as availability routes.
