Palo Alto Networks updates NextWave partner program
Palo Alto Networks updated its NextWave Partner Program and said the change would redefine partner profitability for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Edge Resource Allocator (ERA), shifting the program toward platformization and service-led growth.
The company said the revised program moved beyond transactional volume to reward partners that delivered platform-centric security outcomes and was built on direct feedback from the global partner community. It described streamlined rebates focused on Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Next-Generation Security (NGS) and platformization; enhanced Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) and automated deal registrations; and a Partner Development Fund (PDF) that reinvested earned rebates.
The program was available to partners and included improved service delivery tools and automation to reduce friction and speed deals. It also outlined tailored paths for Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) with tiered pricing for managed services; Distributors with enhanced capabilities and governance; Global System Integrators (GSIs) with a 'Global Path' for multi-theater influence and strategic consulting; and Authorized Services (ASC & Adaptive Power Scheduler (APS)) providing real-time deployment assistance for “first-time-right” implementations.
Simone Gammeri said, “Our partner ecosystem is more critical than ever in addressing the demand for AI-driven security platforms. Unlike transactional programs, the NextWave Partner Program rewards 'platformization' over transactions, so we are empowering our partners to dismantle the complexity that leaves customers vulnerable. This program isn't just about selling software; it's about ensuring customers achieve total, AI-driven resilience with a single, unified defense.”
Hugues Foulon said, “The NextWave Partner Program serves as a catalyst for deeper strategic collaboration and trust between Palo Alto Networks and Orange Cyberdefense. By increasing transparency, especially around team incentives, we are able to align our efforts more closely, foster co-innovation, and tailor Palo Alto Networks' solutions to better safeguard our joint customers against evolving cyber threats.”
Palo Alto Networks said a 'Global Path' for GSIs was scheduled for later this year.
