OneLayer launches Sentry Partner Program for private cellular security

OneLayer launched the Sentry Partner Program to certify private wireless and security integrators that work with private LTE/5G and private APN environments. The initiative is designed to address device visibility and security needs that OneLayer said existing IT tools were not built to handle.

Enterprises that run private LTE and 5G networks and those operating across multi-carrier private APN environments face device visibility and security challenges, according to the company’s release. Sentry-certified partners are described as providing Zero Trust network access security, automated SIM provisioning, and consolidated visibility across carrier deployments using a single management platform.

The program’s certification covers capabilities including Zero Trust network access security and automated device onboarding. OneLayer also said the platform supports consolidated monitoring and policy enforcement across multiple carriers, and that its technology interoperates with Ericsson, Nokia, Cisco, HPE Athonet, Druid, Celona, Digi, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, ServiceNow, and other vendors.

OneLayer named founding Sentry partners as Burns & McDonnell, DFND Security, Future Technologies Ventures (FTV), Heddian, Industrial Networking Solutions (INS), Logicalis, MCA, STEP CG, and WWT. The company said the channel program includes access to OneLayer Scout for pre-deployment site surveys and device inventories, Market Development Funds, SPIF incentives, and deal registration margins, along with sales and technical certifications for partners. “Cellular APN customers have struggled to identify and secure devices used across multiple carriers,” said Tyler Larkin, General Manager of Cellular Networking Solutions at MCA. “OneLayer's platform provides the single pane of glass to monitor and enforce policies universally.”

Program leadership is listed as Trevor Failor, Director of Strategic Alliances, with technical program leadership by Ray Clounch, Channel Technical Director. “Utility networks are critical communications infrastructure, and the stakes for device visibility and security across those environments have never been higher,” said Joe Walsh, CEO of Heddian. “OneLayer gives utilities the control and insight they need to manage and secure every device on their private and carrier APN networks, and the Sentry Program gives us the structure to deliver that at scale.”
