OneLayer described four threat patterns it built into its OneLayer Bridge platform for enterprise private LTE/5G and private APN networks. The company said the approach focuses on automatic detections that run for every customer without configuration, based on what the platform already collected.

In the product description, OneLayer Bridge flags lateral movement behavior involving SSH connections opened between devices on a shared private APN. The release also connects the detections to changes in manufacturer oversight via the FCC's Covered List and to cases where device identity or network placement does not match the onboarding information.

Functionally, OneLayer Bridge fingerprints devices it onboards, including make, model, and chipset. It raises an alert when a modem from a manufacturer on the FCC's Covered List appears or when the Covered List changes. The platform also detects spoofed device identities by comparing presented identifiers to known identity data, and it flags device migration when a device appears behind a router other than the one it was onboarded on.

OneLayer said all four detections were available to every customer running OneLayer Bridge with no new hardware or configuration required.
