ONE Bow River National Defense Fund invests in LEAP

ONE Bow River National Defense Fund made a strategic investment in LEAP, a U.S. launch-vehicle company, to accelerate vehicle development and expand flight operations for government and commercial customers.

The fund invested in companies it described as advancing U.S. national security and strengthening the industrial base, and it said LEAP's mission-flexible vehicle design and cost-effective launch capability aligned with the mandate to back high-impact, defensible technologies supporting space superiority and responsive mobility.

LEAP described platforms that use proprietary propulsion technology, mission-flexible vehicle designs, and modern manufacturing techniques to produce rapid-response, mass-producible launch solutions for national security, commercial payload deployment, and global point-to-point logistics.

The investment was designated to support expansion into new manufacturing facilities, continued development of the Bullfrog and Bighorn launch vehicles, and execution of customer programs, including engagements with the Missile Defense Agency, Space Systems Command and other commercial partners.

“LEAP is building exactly what the national security community has been asking for, affordable, responsive, and operationally relevant launch capabilities,” said Kevin O'Neil, Chief Investment Officer at ONE Bow River.

The companies described plans to use the investment to expand manufacturing, continue development of Bullfrog and Bighorn, and scale flight operations.
