Nozomi Networks and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories widened their global partnership to help operators of critical infrastructure strengthen cyber resilience, improve operational visibility and meet evolving regulatory requirements.
The expanded arrangement builds on a collaboration that already served utilities and other critical infrastructure organizations worldwide. It combines Nozomi's AI-powered cybersecurity platform, SEL industrial networking software, OT managed Ethernet switches, trusted computing platforms, cybersecurity services and regulatory expertise. The combined offering is designed to speed and broaden security programs while supporting compliance with NERC CIP, IEC 62443 and NIST guidance.
A direct integration connects the Nozomi platform with SEL OT Software-Defined Networking, which the companies describe as the strongest option for deny-by-default architecture. OT SDN supplies authoritative network intelligence from the control layer, including near real-time visibility into connected assets, traffic flows, network policies and physical topology. This data supports threat detection, anomaly detection, asset intelligence and AI-powered risk analysis, capabilities that can help address growing INSM requirements under NERC CIP-015-1.
Nozomi Networks Guardian security sensors can now be installed directly on SEL-3355 Computing Platforms, ruggedized hardware designed for demanding environments. That option gives organizations that already know and trust SEL hardware another way to standardize cybersecurity monitoring across their operations. The OT SDN integration is currently available, as is the SEL-3355 Computing Platform with the Nozomi Networks Guardian operating system installed on the appliance.
“Critical infrastructure operators must strengthen cybersecurity without compromising the reliability and availability of essential operations,” said Ryan Bradetich, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Senior Vice President of Communications and Cybersecurity. “This expanded partnership gives customers greater flexibility in how they deploy, monitor and protect their environments, helping them meet evolving security and regulatory requirements while maintaining operational performance.”
“For more than four decades, SEL has helped protect critical infrastructure and make electric power safer and more reliable,” said Matthew Cowell, Nozomi Networks Vice President of Strategic Alliances. “Our shared commitment to safety, reliability and operational uptime makes this a natural collaboration. Together, we are combining trusted industrial technology with AI-powered cybersecurity to help customers reduce risk and build more resilient operations worldwide.” The companies stated a commitment to continued innovation.
