Nokia said the platform delivered more than 20% improvements in spectral efficiency through AI-powered radio innovations and planned further software-driven efficiency gains through 2027 and 2028.

Nokia said its AI-RAN platform combined its software and hardware components to support software-defined architecture for 5G with a software upgrade path to 6G.
