Mplify said more than 450 services and technologies now hold its Carrier Ethernet for Business certification. The update reflects continued use of Carrier Ethernet as automation-ready connectivity for distributed enterprise AI workloads that span multiple environments.
Mplify linked the certification growth to increased demand driven by distributed AI infrastructure, including requirements for performance, automation, and reach. It also cited factors such as power and GPU availability, the location of enterprise data, and sovereignty requirements spreading AI infrastructure across data centers, clouds, edge environments, and enterprise locations.
Mplify said Carrier Ethernet provides predictable performance, engineered paths, and operational accountability for connecting distributed resources. It stated that Carrier Ethernet for Business supersedes the MEF 3.0 CE certification, and it added that the certification includes third-party validation of performance and conformance to Mplify standards.
Mplify said the certification is grounded in common service definitions and attributes intended to simplify interconnection and service delivery across networks, enabling provisioning, scaling, and assurance through NaaS. It also said Carrier Ethernet can connect suitable AI environments across metro, regional, and selected long-distance routes with committed capacity and defined service attributes. “Carrier Ethernet has generated enormous value for this industry, and distributed AI is increasing its strategic importance,” said Pascal Menezes, CTO, Mplify. “The industry already has a substantial base of certified services and technologies built on common standards and rigorous performance criteria.
