Mplify said more than 450 services and technologies from organizations holding its Mplify Carrier Ethernet for Business certification. The company linked the update to demand for distributed AI infrastructure and WAN connectivity used across multiple locations.
Mplify Carrier Ethernet for Business certification replaced its previous MEF 3.0 CE certification. The company said the program provides third-party validation of performance and conformance to Mplify standards and is intended to support Carrier Ethernet for AI as a next evolution of the certification program.
Mplify described AI infrastructure spreading across data centers, clouds, edge environments, and enterprise locations. For workloads spanning these environments, the WAN becomes part of an AI production system, and the company said Carrier Ethernet provides predictable performance, engineered paths, and operational accountability.
Mplify said its certification draws from standards and test requirements, and that common service definitions and attributes are used to simplify interconnection and service delivery. The company said the certification list is available in its services and technologies registry, and Pascal Menezes, CTO, Mplify, said, “Carrier Ethernet has generated enormous value for this industry, and distributed AI is increasing its strategic importance,” said Pascal Menezes, CTO, Mplify. “The industry already has a substantial base of certified services and technologies built on common standards and rigorous performance criteria. As we advance Carrier Ethernet for AI, that foundation gives us a strong base for addressing the connectivity requirements of distributed AI infrastructure.”
