Mplify and AMS-IX, DE-CIX, and LINX collaborate on LSO APIs

Mplify said AMS-IX, DE-CIX, and LINX joined its ecosystem to collaborate on the use and evolution of its Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) APIs for IP peering, cloud connectivity, and traffic exchange. The companies described the effort as an expansion of standardized automation across interconnection services.
Mplify said Internet Exchanges connect internet service providers, cloud providers, enterprises, and content platforms, enabling interconnection activity across the digital ecosystem. It said the exchanges’ participation extended the reach of Mplify’s LSO APIs into a broader interconnection ecosystem and aimed to improve interoperability and automation for peering and cloud connectivity.
In its LSO API portfolio, Mplify said it enables automated service ordering, provisioning, and orchestration, along with lifecycle management across multiple provider and technology domains. The company said this framework supports ecosystem interoperability and service delivery across “AI-ready NaaS environments,” and that the approach builds on the Apache-licensed IX-API project.
Kevin Vachon, COO of Mplify, said, “We are excited to see the leading Internet Exchanges engaging with Mplify LSO APIs as part of their broader automation strategies,” adding that participation represented another step toward adopting Mplify’s API framework across the interconnection ecosystem. Peter van Burgel, CEO of AMS-IX, said, “Internet Exchanges are a critical part of the digital economy,” and described standardized APIs and orchestration frameworks as enabling scalable, programmable, and AI-ready connectivity services. Dr. Thomas King, CTO of DE-CIX, said, “The integration of the IX automation functionality – already developed in the IX-API standard – into Mplify’s APIs,” would support Network-as-a-Service adoption. Riccardo Verzeni, Director of Software Engineering, LINX, said, “By collaborating with Mplify, we want to explore extending the IX-API project into a complementary subsection of the LSO API portfolio,” and that the IX-API project would continue.
