Mirantis and Gcore Partner to Tackle AI Infrastructure Challenges

Mirantis and Gcore have entered into a partnership to address challenges in Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure. This collaboration will integrate Gcore Everywhere Inference with Mirantis’ k0rdent open-source platform, allowing users to scale AI inference workloads globally.

Alex Freedland, CEO of Mirantis, noted the importance of open source in enabling autonomy and control over global infrastructure, emphasizing the need for solutions that meet the demands of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) and platform engineering. He stated, “Enterprise AI adoption has entered a new phase and open source has a critical role to play.”

The k0rdent platform aims to facilitate large-scale application management across various infrastructures. The integration with Gcore Everywhere Inference is expected to optimize compute resource allocation and simplify AI model deployment, thereby improving performance monitoring and cost management.

Seva Vayner, product director at Gcore, mentioned that the partnership combines scalable infrastructure management with effective workload deployment, providing a user-friendly platform for deploying distributed AI inference. Misch Strotz, CEO of LetzAI, added that such collaborations can streamline model deployment and Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) onboarding, thus enhancing productivity for AI and Machine Learning (ML) teams.

Both companies plan to showcase their joint technologies at upcoming events, including GTC 2025 and KubeCon Europe.
