Mirantis and Gcore partner to tackle AI infrastructure challenges

Mirantis and Gcore have entered into an agreement aimed at improving the deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads. The collaboration centers around integrating Gcore Everywhere Inference with Mirantis's k0rdent open-source platform, which is designed to assist users in scaling AI inference workloads efficiently on a global scale. Alex Freedland, CEO of Mirantis, emphasized that the partnership leverages open-source technology to enhance flexibility across public, private, and managed service clouds while giving users control over their infrastructure. Gcore’s product offering, Everywhere Inference, will be utilized to optimize the deployment of AI models, facilitating streamlined resource allocation and compliance with regional data requirements. Additionally, the integration is expected to alleviate challenges associated with AI workload management, especially for businesses requiring scalable infrastructure. Seva Vayner, Gcore's product director for Edge Cloud and AI, noted that the collaboration allows platform engineers to utilize a Kubernetes-native solution which eases the operational complexity inherent in multi-cloud settings. Misch Strotz, CEO of the AI company LetzAI, pointed out that the partnership could shorten the time needed to onboard new GPUs and deploy AI models. This capability is anticipated to enhance productivity for both AI and Machine Learning (ML) teams within enterprises. Both companies plan to showcase the combined technology at industry events, including the upcoming GTC 2025 and KubeCon Europe.
