Microchip partners with Delta Electronics to advance power management solutions using mSiC technology.
This agreement leverages Microchip’s mSiC™ technology and Delta’s smart energy-saving solutions to accelerate the development of sustainable applications.
Microchip Technology announced a partnership agreement with Delta Electronics to collaborate on utilizing Microchip’s mSiC™ products in Delta’s designs. This alliance aims to develop Smart Inverter Controller (SIC) solutions and energy-efficient systems to address the increasing demand for power efficiency and reliability across various sectors, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and infrastructure.
Clayton Pillion, vice president of Microchip’s high-power solutions business unit, stated, “SiC is increasingly important in sustainable power solutions because of its wide-bandgap properties, which enable smaller and more efficient designs for high-voltage, high-power applications at a lower system cost.” The partnership intends to expedite the implementation of SIC technology in market segments related to electrification.
Delta Electronics plans to leverage Microchip's expertise in SIC technology to improve the energy efficiency of its product offerings. This collaboration includes resources for validating Microchip’s mSiC solutions, which will be implemented faster in Delta's initiatives. Key advantages of the agreement include technical training and early access to product samples.
With over two decades of experience in SIC development and support, Microchip provides various mSiC products, including MOSFETs, diodes, and gate drivers. This partnership focuses on advancing sustainable power management solutions, drawing on both companies' strengths in technology and design.
