Mavenir introduces Agentic Service Assurance Framework aligned to TM Forum IG1251 and IG1453
Mavenir introduced an Agentic Service Assurance Framework aligned to TM Forum IG1251 and IG1453, designed to automate complex network operations across multiple domains. The company positioned the framework as a way to move from alarm firing toward fault diagnosis and remediation within existing operations.
The announcement described network operations across 5G, cloud-native, and IP domains as difficult to manage at scale, particularly in multi-vendor environments where tooling can generate fragmented data. It also said that assurance systems fire alarms without diagnosing root causes, while retiring engineers take institutional knowledge.
According to Mavenir, the framework uses a multi-layer, multi-agent setup centered on an Intent Ops engine. The engine observes how NOC teams work, learns successful resolution patterns, and converts human workflows into repeatable automation templates with guardrails, with workflow validation against a human baseline before autonomous execution.
The framework aims to deliver cross-domain monitoring and context-aware correlation, along with domain-intelligence-driven root-cause analysis across domains. Mavenir said it uses closed-loop remediation on Mavenir products and integrates with existing OSS AI agents through the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol defined in IG1453. “Every operator I talk to is wrestling with the same paradox: their networks are becoming more complex while the operational expertise to run them is retiring. Intent Ops solves that paradox directly. It captures what your best engineers know, validates it, and makes it available to the entire operations organization, autonomously and at scale. This is how you build a network that genuinely runs itself.” said Bejoy Pankajakshan, EVP, Chief Technology & Strategy Officer, Mavenir. “Operators need practical routes to autonomous networks that work across complex, multi-vendor environments. Intent-based operations and knowledge capture aligned to TM Forum's frameworks can help turn proven NOC expertise into scalable automation. Mavenir's approach shows the direction the industry needs: open, standards-based autonomy operators can trust.” said Andy Tiller, EVP Member Products, TM Forum. The company also said it would showcase the framework at DTW Ignite 2026 from 23–25 June in booth #334.
