Lambda Announces General Availability of Multi-Node NVIDIA HGX B200-Accelerated Clusters On-Demand

Artificial Intelligence (AI) engineers and researchers can now access NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs via Lambda’s 1-Click Clusters for on-demand training and inference, eliminating the need for long-term contracts. This announcement, made by Lambda, a cloud services provider for AI development, marks the General Availability (GA) of multi-node NVIDIA HGX B200-accelerated clusters. The service aims to streamline the resources required for AI projects, allowing teams to innovate more rapidly without the complications of traditional infrastructure management. The integration of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs with Lambda’s self-service model enables AI teams to initiate and manage their workflows efficiently. Lambda’s offering provides instant access to clusters connected by NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand, which supports scalable training and assessment for various AI applications. With options for 16 to 512 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) nodes, this service directly addresses the increasing demand for computational power driven by advances in open-source reasoning models like DeepSeek R1. Stephen Balaban, CEO and co-founder of Lambda, stated, “AI innovation requires immediate access to cutting-edge infrastructure that scales with the needs of AI teams. Today’s announcement further builds on our initiatives to delight AI developers.” He expressed anticipation for how teams will utilize these resources to enhance their AI projects. Dhanji R. Prasanna, CTO of Block, emphasized the benefit of the clusters in enabling exploration of novel solutions for customers while maintaining an open-source approach. Additionally, Dave Salvator, Director of Accelerated Computing Products at NVIDIA, highlighted the importance of providing access to advanced infrastructure to facilitate further AI advancements across industries. Lambda’s deployment of 1-Click Clusters aims to offer AI researchers immediate access to substantial computing capabilities, which are essential for scaling projects efficiently and meeting the expectations of a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
