Keysight introduces DCA-M oscilloscopes for 1.6T optical testing

Keysight Technologies has launched two new DCA-M Sampling Oscilloscopes designed for 1.6T optical transceiver testing, particularly aimed at Research and Development (R&D) as well as manufacturing for next-generation optical interconnects in data center. These oscilloscopes are engineered to meet the demanding requirements of optical measurements, integrating clock recovery capabilities and targeting data rates of up to 120 GBaud.

The introduction of these instruments is a response to the growing challenges faced in Artificial Intelligence (AI) data center networks, where high data transfer rates and strict signal integrity standards necessitate reliable and precise testing solutions. Manufacturing environments will benefit as the new oscilloscopes allow for increased efficiency through advanced automation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Disaster Recovery (DR). Joachim Peerlings of Keysight stated that the new oscilloscope line is crucial for the advancement of AI infrastructure, which is increasingly driving the need for robust R&D and manufacturing solutions. The DCA-M sampling oscilloscopes will be showcased at the upcoming OFC 2025 conference from April 1-3 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
