Identiv, Inc. closed an IoT asset sale transaction with Trackonomy Systems, Inc. and changed its corporate name to INVE Technologies, Inc., following the transaction. The company’s remaining Nasdaq listing continued under the INVE ticker.
In connection with the agreement, the legacy Identiv brand name and the IoT business assets were sold to Trackonomy. After the closing, INVE Technologies received $50 million in Trackonomy preferred equity, subject to post-closing adjustment, while the companies continued work toward an expected definitive strategic partnership.
INVE Technologies said it intended to focus on building a physical AI SaaS business in collaboration with Trackonomy’s platform, and it referenced planned compliance SaaS acquisitions as part of that go-forward approach. The company also stated that it planned to collaborate on software opportunities that leverage Trackonomy’s physical AI platform under the expected partnership framework.
The company appointed James Greenwell as Interim Chief Executive Officer effective September 21, 2026, and said Kirsten Newquist would resign as CEO effective that same date. Ousley, Chairman of the Board, said the closing marked “an important strategic milestone,” and Greenwell’s appointment followed the announced leadership change.
