Huawei unveils Xinghe AI full-scope security campus solution
Huawei unveiled the Xinghe Artificial Intelligence (AI) Full-Scope Security Campus Solution and presented the first commercial AirEngine Pre 802.11bn (Wi-Fi 8) Access Point (AP) at MWC Barcelona 2026, positioning both releases around campus network security within the AI Edge Resource Allocator (ERA).
The company framed the releases as responses to an expanded role for campus networks as secure connection points between digital and physical environments, and highlighted multiple product demonstrations at the event.
The Xinghe solution included four security capabilities described in the announcement: asset security that used clustering identification to recognize dumb terminals with 95% accuracy and combined terminal behavior anomaly detection with local inference on switches to detect anomalies in seconds and proactively block them; connectivity security that used Wi‑Fi Shield at the physical layer alongside end-to-end Media Access Control Security (MACsec) and Post‑Quantum Cryptography for transmission protection; spatial security that detected spatial status through a single wireless AP and identified unauthorized activities in seconds; and privacy security provided by the iGuard AP to detect illegal imaging devices such as hidden cameras.
Huawei also described wireless and switching features shown at the event: the AirEngine Pre Wi‑Fi 8 AP employed Intelligent Coordinated Scheduling and Spatial Reuse (iCSSR) for multi‑AP collaboration, Smart Beamforming that detected user movement within milliseconds, and Advanced Same Frequency Network (ASFN) that virtualized multiple Adaptive Power Scheduler (APS) instances into a single super AP to enable zero roaming; CloudEngine twins switches used a multi‑switching matrix architecture to prevent access failures for single‑uplink endpoints and to ensure sub‑second fault recovery and zero‑downtime upgrades.
“In the AI era, campus networks have moved beyond connectivity and become the secure hub connecting digital and physical worlds. Huawei's Xinghe AI Full-Scope Security Campus Solution meets this by offering asset, connectivity, spatial, and privacy security.” Shawn Zhao, President of the Campus Network Domain, Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, said.
Huawei said it would continue to innovate to build a high-quality 10 Gbps campus network foundation and drive industry intelligence together with customers, partners, and industry organizations.
