Huawei unveils upgraded Xinghe Intelligent WAN Solution
At HUAWEI CONNECT 2025, Huawei introduced its upgraded Xinghe Intelligent Wide Area Network (WAN) Solution, aiming to enhance network monetization and industry intelligence. This solution offers a robust Internet Protocol (IP) foundation that ensures a superior user experience.
John Cai, President of the Router Domain at Huawei, identified four key challenges for Wide Area Networks (WANs): the need for data silos elimination amid digitalization, increasing service demands for bandwidth and latency, the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on packet loss rates, and the implications of advancements in quantum computing for network security.
To tackle these issues, the Xinghe Intelligent WAN Solution incorporates four primary capabilities. First, all-service convergence through service slicing and SRv6 reduces provisioning time significantly. Second, an AI-powered application identification feature reaches over 95% accuracy, allowing for proactive management of network performance. Third, a flow awareness engine enhances throughput while maintaining low packet loss rates. Finally, the solution employs quantum-resistant encryption for secure data transmission.
During the roundtable, various partners showcased their collaborative success. Surge Indonesia's CTO, Mohammad Mustaghfirin, detailed the company's achievement as a benchmark for broadband operations using IPv6 Enhanced networking. Meanwhile, Kenneth Bagarukayo from Uganda's Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) highlighted the reduced deployment times enabled by SRv6. Additionally, DYXnet and Huawei's collaborative efforts led to the development of an AI-native architecture enabling rapid file transfers.
Looking ahead, Huawei plans to further its integration of AI within networks, directing industries towards greater levels of intelligence and efficiency through the Xinghe Intelligent WAN Solution.
