Huawei releases Fully Connected Industrial Networks report

Huawei held its Manufacturing Industry Forum at MWC Barcelona 2026 and released the Fully Connected Industrial Networks report; the event gathered nearly 100 industry customers, partners, and experts to address the digital and intelligent development of the manufacturing industry.

The report outlined four trends for industrial networks: ubiquitous access, converged connectivity, autonomous networks, and integrated network security, and it connected those trends to operational needs. In his speech, Huawei said it had served more than 27,000 manufacturing and large enterprise customers over the past three years and that its customer base had grown by more than 50%, while collaborations with partners exceeded 1,500, a year-on-year rise of 20%.

Huawei presented technical capabilities intended to support advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) use and production demands. The company described three core capabilities: IT/OT convergence, wireless deployment, and integrated security and O&M. The production network was described as using Multichassis Link Aggregation Group (M-LAG) hitless upgrade and industrial switches to provide 99.999% reliability, 10 Gbps bandwidth, and low latency, while the wireless solution centered on 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) products for industrial scenarios.

At the event, Huawei showcased a converged production network and a suite of smart factory solutions built on the three core capabilities, noting these solutions had been deployed in thousands of manufacturing factories. The integrated security and intelligent O&M approach was described as combining technologies and mechanisms to defend against attacks while doubling O&M efficiency and meeting data compliance requirements.

Liu Chao said, “over the past three years, Huawei has served more than 27,000 manufacturing and large enterprise customers worldwide, with a customer base growing by more than 50%.” Huawei said it will continue to work with partners to support the digital and intelligent transformation of manufacturing.
