Huawei outlines cloud core network vision

Huawei presented a cloud core network vision that unified Service Intelligence and Network Intelligence and said the approach mattered because it reframed the core network as an intelligent hub and value creator for future network development.

The company said Artificial Intelligence (AI) was reshaping mobile communications ecosystems across terminals, networks and services, and that this trend required a different role for the core network as networks evolved toward future network capabilities.

Huawei described network elements embedded with AI capability and said the core network supported efficient, stable operations while providing precise service recognition and dynamic policy control; the statement added that this foundational layer supported Service Intelligence at the upper layer.

The proposal called for a strategic rebuild of core services including home broadband, voice and data, and said the redesign allowed operators to leap forward in user experience and to reinvent business models; Huawei said it would discuss the approach at MWC Barcelona 2026.

Huawei said the future was intelligent and connected at the core.
