Huawei launches AIEC solution for basic education
At MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei launched the AI Ethics Committee (AIEC) Solution for basic education to accelerate the popularization and development of general Artificial Intelligence (AI) education.
Huawei collaborated with industry customers and partners to assemble scenario-based offerings intended for the AI education sector and for primary and secondary schools, describing the initiative as a means to broaden access to general AI education for students.
The AIEC Solution was built on hardware computing infrastructure, model services, application platforms, and an AI teaching and laboratory management system; it provided systematic general AI education, experimental applications, and curriculum resources for students of all ages in basic education.
The solution had been implemented in Zhejiang Province, China, where Huawei and partners such as CourseGrading provided a general AI education platform to more than 500 primary and secondary schools, with AI computing power, open-source large models, over 10 hands-on AI practice projects and more than 50 experimental tools and applications, and it launched a global demonstration project with Pui Kiu Middle School to showcase practical applications in secondary education.
Li Junfeng said, “the core of future AI education is to achieve ”the lowest threshold and the widest coverage.“ As a ”technology enabler“ and ”ecosystem builder“ in the journey of digital and intelligent education, Huawei collaborates with customers and partners to create innovative, scenario-based solutions for the AI education sector.”
The platform was expected to cover one million students, and Huawei said it would continue to act as a technological bridge and foster an open ecosystem with global partners.
