Huawei launches AI Data Platform at MWC Barcelona

Huawei introduced an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Data Platform at the Huawei Product & Solution Launch during MWC Barcelona 2026, and the company described the platform as a bridge between models and business value.

The PR stated that despite rapid AI advancement, most AI models have not been thoroughly integrated into core services, that development focused more on training than on inference, and that improved data processing was required to address AI hallucinations, slow response, and throughput constraints in inference.

Huawei Data Storage presented a “3+1” AI Data Platform that combined knowledge generation and retrieval, a KV cache for inference acceleration, memory extraction and recall, and an Update Compression Module (UCM); the PR said multimodal resources were converted into high-accuracy knowledge through multimodal lossless parsing and token-level encoding, yielding retrieval accuracy over 95%.

The PR said the KV cache applied intelligent tiering and management to expand the context window and reduce repeated computing, and that the platform reduced time to first token by 90%. It also said the UCM managed memory data at three cache levels to schedule the knowledge base, KV cache, and memory bank.

“Huawei will continue to deepen technological innovation. With the AI Data Platform serving as a bridge, we will transform model capabilities into real business value,” said Yuan Yuan.

The PR said the AI Data Platform was offered in two deployment modes: an appliance mode using the OceanStor A800 system and an independent mode based on AI data engine nodes plus OceanStor Dorado storage, with data engine nodes able to be added to upgrade existing systems, protect prior investments, and enable smooth AI transformation for businesses.
