HFCL Limited extended its OptiQ AI™ unified identity for its optical connectivity portfolio to the United Kingdom. The company linked the move to data centre expansion planned around five designated AI Growth Zones.
HFCL said the UK has five AI Growth Zones across the Southeast, Northeast, North Wales, South Wales, and Scotland to fast-track planning and grid access. The company cited optical connectivity as a priority for delivery alongside power and grid planning as build-out accelerated.
The portfolio combined IBR cables, fibre assemblies, patch cords, pigtails, trunks, cassettes, and enclosure panels under an integrated framework. HFCL said the offering was built around five attributes: High Quality, Quantum Bandwidth, Densely Quantified, Quick Rollout, and Q-Class Uptime, supporting architectures up to 800G and 1.6T.
HFCL described OptiQ AI™ as bringing its established optical fibre and connectivity capabilities into one integrated approach intended for hyperscalers, cloud providers, colocation operators, and enterprise data centres. Harsh Pagay, Executive President, HFCL, said, “GPUs often dominate the AI infrastructure conversation compute capacity and power. But none of that can deliver at scale without an optical network capable of moving enormous volumes of data quickly and reliably. Our focus with OptiQ AI™ is to help hyperscalers and data centre operators address the practical realities of AI deployment, from fibre density and bandwidth to deployment speed, network reliability and future upgrades.”
HFCL said the UK launch positioned optical connectivity as a foundational layer of UK AI infrastructure alongside compute and power.
