Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. said it secured more than $10 million in orders for its multi-orbit SkyEdge IV platform from a satellite operator, with systems scheduled for delivery over the next 12 months.
The company said the orders reflected ongoing demand for connectivity services and were intended to support growth of high-capacity satellite networks, including In-Flight Connectivity (IFC), as traffic volumes and service offerings increased.
Gilat said the SkyEdge IV platform was designed to support increasing traffic volumes and diverse service offerings through scale and operational efficiency. The orders were described as supporting large-scale network deployments, including reliance on ground segment technologies.
Gilat attributed the orders to continued adoption of SkyEdge IV by satellite operators and said the company would continue supporting the operator’s network initiatives. “We are pleased to continue supporting this leading satellite operator as it advances its network initiatives,” said Ron Levin, President of Gilat Commercial Division. “These orders reaffirm the value of our SkyEdge IV platform and the confidence customers place in Gilat's technology. Long-term customer relationships such as this one reflect our ability to deliver solutions that help operators enhance their networks and expand service offerings across IFC and other applications.”
Gilat’s release included forward-looking statements under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995 and said it undertakes no obligation to update or revise them except as required by law.
